Why gaining a management qualification is so important.

Management qualification, Chartered management award, Manchester, CheshireIt is staggering to think that there are 4.3 million managers in the UK but only 20% are posess a management qualification . As unemployment in the UK hits a 12 year high, there is a huge drive within UK organisations to attain a professionally qualified management workforce. New research - first published in December at the House of Commons - demonstrates the huge economic returns of professional qualifications.

Extensive research carried out by the Chartered Management Institute highlighted that posessing a management qualification helped to achieve the following:

  • 86% were able to apply practical management tools
  • 85% improved their business knowledge
  • 81% were able to take a more strategic view
  • 79% developed their leadership skills
  • 66% could deal with interpersonal issues more effectively

This research clearly evidences the link between investment in management and leadership development and business improvement.

Furthermore, there is no better time to do this given that up to £7000 of funding is available for management training and development for organisations with up to 999 employees.  Please note that organisations typically contribute approximately 30% of the total development cost.  Adalta can facilitate the process of accessing funding.
