We tested out the simple ‘5 whys’ problem solving technique recently to get to the root of a problem quickly and we have to say that it does work.
This technique became popular in the 1970’s by Toyota. The ‘5 whys’ approach involves looking at any problem or issue and simply asking ‘why?’ or ‘what are the reasons for the problem?’ until the root cause becomes apparent.
